Learn the fundamentals
In Islamabad, I completed a three-year diploma in Computer Information Technology and continued learning graphic design and freelancing alongside formal study.
A self-taught journey shaped by curiosity, limited resources, continuous learning and the decision to keep moving forward when the path was not obvious.
Freelance journey“You don’t know what you can or cannot do until you give it your best shot.”
I’m Abdul Mateen, a freelance website designer, UI/UX designer and front-end developer. My career began with self-learning and a simple interest in computers, design and the possibilities of the internet.
I come from a small village in the Cholistan area, where many families depend on livestock and farming and opportunities can feel limited. Seeing how quickly technology and business were changing, I decided to build a different future through learning and creative work.
That decision meant moving beyond what was familiar, learning with limited resources and staying consistent even when progress was slow. Over time, the same curiosity became a professional skill set and then a career serving clients and teams in different markets.

There was no single shortcut. The journey grew through learning, first attempts, setbacks and the confidence that came from real client work.
In Islamabad, I completed a three-year diploma in Computer Information Technology and continued learning graphic design and freelancing alongside formal study.
After months of self-learning through tutorials and practice, I created a Fiverr account and received the first order of my freelance career. It was a small amount, but a major proof of possibility.
I created a portfolio, joined relevant freelancing communities and started receiving direct work. Each project improved both the technical skill and the ability to communicate with clients.
Better tools, stronger processes and consistent delivery helped turn isolated projects into a sustainable freelance career and international professional experience.
Milestones matter because they document the work behind the scenes, including the first clients, the learning curve and the point where consistency starts to become momentum.

A public success-story milestone from the early freelance journey.

The story was featured as an example of persistence and freelance growth.

Experience letters and recommendations from companies and collaborators are presented here as supporting proof, not decoration.
